Okuma Alarm B-2396 indicates that the value of H-U(W) is smaller than D during execution of a multi-cycle thread cutting operation (M73). This results in an invalid parameter condition and stops the machining process.

Meaning of the Alarm

This alarm occurs when the control system detects that the specified H-U(W) value is less than the D value in M73 during G71 or G72 thread cutting cycles. This condition is not allowed and prevents proper execution of the cycle.
