Okuma Alarm P-0790 – MCS Rotary Encoder 1 Initialization Failure

Okuma Alarm P-0790 indicates that the CNC control failed to initialize MCS rotary encoder 1 during startup. The rotary encoder provides position and speed feedback to the control system, and if it cannot be initialized correctly the machine stops to prevent incorrect axis movement. This problem may be caused by a faulty encoder, damaged cables, unstable power supply, or a problem in the servo drive system. Restarting the machine may clear the alarm, but if it appears again the encoder or related electronics should be inspected.
