Okuma Alarm A-1110 – PLC Control Error

Alarm A-1110 indicates that an internal error has occurred within the PLC control system.

The CNC detected abnormal PLC behavior or inconsistent control logic and stopped operation to prevent unpredictable machine response.

Possible causes include:

  • PLC program malfunction

  • Corrupted PLC data

  • Communication failure between CNC and PLC

  • Memory error within the control unit

  • Software incompatibility or update issue

This alarm may disable machine functions controlled by the PLC, including safety circuits, auxiliary systems, or automation components.

Recommended actions:

  1. Restart the control system.

  2. Verify PLC program integrity.

  3. Check CNC–PLC communication status.

  4. Reload PLC program from a valid backup.

  5. Inspect control hardware if the error persists.

If the issue continues after restart and data reload, further diagnostics of the PLC board or memory system is required.
